2024 Saw the Release of Some Great Droning Advancements

As we close the book on 2024, we’re reflecting on the new drone tech released throughout the year.

DJI Mic 2 and DJI Mic Mini

Back in January 2024, the DJI Mic 2 was released. The small but mighty mic was created to transform your content.

DJI FlyCart30

The release of the DJI FlyCart30 in January 2024 was a huge milestone in the space of delivery drones. As far as enterprise drones are concerned, advancements in delivery abilities are becoming increasingly common and desired. 

The revolutionary enterprise drone has meant mountain, offshore and emergency rescue transportation can be performed more efficiently and flexibly.

DJI Dock 2

On the topic of DJI enterprise, the DJI Dock 2 was released in March 2024. 

The release of the Dock 2 was meant to deliver easier operations and superior results in the automated and remote droning space.

The upgrades compared to its predecessor include: 

  • DJI Dock 2 is 75% smaller and 68% lighter

  • 25% extra flight time and 43% increase in operating radius

  • DJI's first dedicated surveying drone-in-a-box solution, thanks to its compatibility with the new M3D drone

  • Significantly lower hardware cost

These upgrades make the DJI Dock 2 an attractive addition for automated and remote drone deployments - and in many ways, will continue to transform the drone in a box market.

DJI RS 4 Series

April was a huge month for the release of new DJI tech. Both the DJI RS 4 and RS 4 Pro launched back in April 2024 and became available to order from the Drone Safe Store. 

The DJI RS 4 lightweight commercial stabiliser supports next-generation native vertical shooting with enhanced operation efficiency, improved stabilisation performance and an upgraded accessory ecosystem.

DJI Power 1000

DJI released new all-weather, multi-sensor aerial payloads - Zenmuse H30 and H30T for the Matrice 300 RTK and Matrice 350 RTK drone platforms in May 2024. 

This was another huge addition to DJI’s enterprise portfolio. The H30 is equipped with 400x zoom, NIR night vision, and a 3000m laser range finder. The H30T model has all of these features plus a 1k thermal imaging sensor.

DJI SDR Transmission
