GPS Stays Locked During a Swap
The TB100 is designed so the aircraft retains its GPS fix while the battery is being changed. In practice that means the aircraft doesn't need to re-acquire satellites and re-establish its position between sorties, so a mission resumes rather than restarts. On a corridor survey or a repeat inspection route, that removes several minutes of dead time on every swap.
The top-insert design supports this: batteries drop in from above rather than sliding into a bay, which is faster and easier with gloves on.
How Many Do You Need
One battery gives up to 59 minutes airborne, then requires charging before the next flight. Fine for short inspections or a single mapping run.
Two batteries allow one in the air while one charges, which is the minimum most operators find workable for a productive day.

Does the Matrice 400 come with a battery?
Depends on the listing. The Worry-Free Plus Combo includes one. The Drone Only listing includes none, so a TB100 is required before the aircraft can fly.
What's the difference between the TB100 and the TB100C?
The TB100C is the tethered variant, drawing continuous power from a ground-based tether system for persistent flight. It requires a separate third-party tether system. The TB100 is the standard flight battery for normal free flight, and it's what most operators want.
How long does a full charge take?
Charging time depends on the BS100 station and how many batteries are in the queue, since it charges in sequence rather than simultaneously. Call us if you're planning a rotation and need realistic turnaround figures for your operation.
What does 400 charge cycles mean in practice?
It's the rated service life before capacity meaningfully degrades. At one cycle per flight day, that's a long working life; at four swaps a day it's proportionally shorter. It's also the limit tied to the warranty period below.
Can I use TB100 batteries with other Matrice aircraft?
No. The TB100 is specific to the Matrice 400. Earlier Matrice aircraft use different batteries, such as the TB65 for the Matrice 350 RTK.
How should I store them?
