Carried to site and flown with the handheld DJI RC Plus 3 Enterprise controller, the Matrice 5T brings this generation's full camera and perception package into any manually-piloted deployment, public safety response, utility inspection away from a fixed dock, or maritime work launched from a vessel.

Onboard AI models detect more than 20 target types before a single frame leaves the aircraft, and open onboard computing lets a business run its own third-party algorithms directly on the same airframe. A perception suite combining standard LiDAR, mmWave radar and full-colour omnidirectional vision handles obstacle sensing at IP55 across a -20°C to 50°C operating range, and built-in ADS-B and Remote ID receivers add awareness of nearby crewed and uncrewed aircraft directly into the aircraft's own sensing.

A 1280×1024 thermal camera with a 2K UHR mode runs alongside full-colour wide-angle night vision built around a 1/0.98-inch sensor, extending usable capture well past dusk. Zoom reaches up to 176x hybrid with an IR cut filter, and a 3km laser rangefinder supports distance measurement on the same flight, with thermal-visible fusion display and split-screen multi-camera view putting both feeds in front of the pilot at once.

Maximum flight time reaches 59 minutes, with a top speed of 23 m/s for covering distance quickly on a corridor inspection or dispatch job. Video transmission reaches up to 40km under IC compliance, dropping to 20km under CE, the figure that applies across the UK and EU, and dual built-in Cellular Dongle 2 modules add 4G connectivity without external hardware.
