DJI M30T Drone Review - The Most Advanced Drone Ever Made!

The DJI M30T is a new drone from DJI that is aimed at professionals and search and rescue teams due to its IP55 water resistance rating. This drone is appropriate for both beginners and experts in the drone industry. The M30T starts at £11,055 so it’s an investment for your business, not just a drone to play around with.

New Standard For Hybrid Payloads

The DJI M30T Drone comes with a Wide Camera, Zoom Camera, Thermal Camera, FPV Camera, Laser Module and other various systems that make this drone a beast. The Wide Angle Camera has a 24mm focal length and a 12mp ½” sensor that can record in 4k/30fps.

The Zoom Camera has a 48mp CMOS Sensor which can do 5x-16x Optical Zoom and 200x Max Zoom on the hybrid zoom. This camera has a photo resolution of 8K and a video Resolution of 4K/30fps.

The Thermal Imaging Camera has a focal length of 40mm, a resolution of 640x512 and a frame rate of 30fps. This camera would be extremely useful when doing a search and rescue mission or just a simple heat loss survey.

What makes the DJI M30/M30T the ultimate drone for search and rescue?

The DJI M30/M30T has the highest IP rating on a drone that DJI has ever released (IP55). This makes it amazing for flying in tough conditions. So tough it can fly in -20°C to 50°C without a problem, making it capable in hot and cold climates. This is essential in search and rescue missions because as we all know, you can’t plan when these missions may occur. The previous DJI Enterprise solution, the DJI Matrice 300, only had an IP 45 rating meaning that it could only resist a few water drops and not much more than that and operate in a much smaller temperature window.

It also has an improved transmission system ‘Four Antenna OcuSync 3 Enterprise’ making it possible to cover more areas with stable transmission and removable dual-antennas.

Obstacle Avoidance

The obstacle avoidance feature on the Matrice 30T allows the drone to fly securely even when impediments are present. The sensors will detect obstacles and then divert the path of the drone by up to 5 metres so that the drone doesn’t hit whatever is in its way.

Flight Time

You can fly the M30/M30T for up to 41 minutes with 15 m/s wind resistance, 7000m Service Ceiling and a max speed of 23m/s meaning that you can use your drone for a long time before it runs out of battery. The M30T also comes with redundancy and a Backup System that will keep the drone in the air even in unexpected scenarios.

In conclusion, this is one of the best drones available today. It has everything you need to fly safely

The M30T is designed to make missions a breeze with all the features it includes. The included thermal camera and the IP55 rating mean that this drone can be used in most if not all circumstances whether that is a search and rescue mission or assessing a building's heat loss. The M30T also comes with advanced obstacle avoidance technology to make sure that it does not hit anything in the air, like a tree for example.
