What Changes as the Budget Grows
Controller-free flying exists at exactly one price point. Only the Neo 2, at £209.00, flies its basic modes without a controller at all; every other model here, from £242.00 up to £859.00, uses a conventional two-stick setup.
Obstacle sensing has its own separate threshold. Nothing under £250 has it. It first appears at £299.00 with the Lito 1's basic system, then becomes a full omnidirectional, LiDAR-backed system from £350.55 onward (Lito X1, Mini 5 Pro, Air 3S all carry this more complete version).
Flight time and camera sensor size move together, and both jump around the same point. Below £339.00, no model publishes a flight time figure over roughly 30 minutes or carries a 1-inch sensor. From the Mini 3 upward, flight times sit in the mid-to-high 30s and the Mini 5 Pro and Air 3S both carry a 50MP 1-inch primary sensor, the same sensor size regardless of the roughly £200 gap between them.
Sub-250g stops being available at exactly one point: the Air 3S, at 724g. Every other model across all three tiers, including the £659.00 Mini 5 Pro, stays under 250g. The extra weight at the top of the range buys a second physical telephoto camera, not just a bigger sensor on the same body.
