It is also extremely compatible with many professional cameras and accessories like sunshades and filters. The Ronin 2 is compatible with RED Dragon, ARRI Alexa Mini, Canon C300, Sony FS7 and many more. Whether it’s a simple DSLR or a professional camera, the Ronin 2 Professional Combo will transform your build.

The DJI Ronin 2 Professional Combo comes with a new detachable grip which allows the Ronin 2 to stand up on its own and can be separated at ease when the lower part of the hand grip is not needed. Ronin 2 is highly compatible with cranes, Steadicams, drones and more.

The Ronin 2 is extremely user-friendly making overall use and setup easier than it's ever been. Everything about it is easier. Ranging from mounting the cameras to balancing and tuning, transportation and powering accessories have been refined from the previous generation of Ronin for ease and speed.

Build Quality

The Ronin 2 makes use of its monocoque carbon fibre frame design. This means that the Ronin 2 is extremely tough and lightweight at the same time. This makes it easy to carry payloads of up to 13.6kg (the Ronin 2 weighs 6.4kg with the handle)

With the uprated torque motors compared to the previous Ronin, Help support the extra payload. As well as this, the powerful torque motors which are 8x more powerful than the previous Ronin, resist winds of up to 75mph and any G-Force caused in a car when car-mounted for example, this means it stays smooth when in motion. This means you can be travelling in a car at 75mph and still have perfectly stable footage.

Usability

The DJI Ronin 2 is extremely user-friendly and feels strong enough to withstand extreme filming conditions. The Ronin 2 has a simple click-in wedge feature which is very strong and holds the gimbal in place to the frame. To remove it you undo a lock and press a button. There are markings of length to extend the gimbal to your needs. The great thing about the Ronin 2 is that it’s got many fine adjusters dotted about the rig. This means you can make fine adjustments and make everything perfect without taking the whole gimbal apart.

The battery charging hub means you can charge four TB-50 batteries at one time. There is a 4-point power connection hub which can be installed to match the ARRI and Red camera. All wires are integrated within the Ronin 2 except for the camera power cables.

On a day's shoot 5 batteries would be enough for moderate filming and 8 batteries for heavy filming so just be sure you have power. From a flat battery to full it takes 90 minutes so 90 minutes per two batteries.

There is a built-in screen however you can plug in your receiver for your controller. You could use this to have control of the gimbal remotely. This is compatible with DJI’s A3 Flight control system.
