DJI Power Auro 2000 Elite: What's New

DJI's new Power Auro 2000 Elite packs a 2kWh battery, a 2000W continuous output and a built-in car charger with MPPT solar input into a single housing, 24% smaller by volume and 14% lighter than the existing DJI Power 2000. It launches globally from 28 October 2026 at EUR 1,099, with UK pricing and availability to be confirmed directly with Drone Safe Store.

All-in-One Design

A built-in car charger connects directly to a vehicle battery, pairing with an integrated MPPT solar module so neither needs a separate box or extra cabling on site. Two proprietary SDC ports handle solar and car input simultaneously, up to 600W each, and a 140W USB-C retractable cable extends and retracts for tangle-free storage with a replaceable module for maintenance. DJI calls this its first all-in-one design combining car charging, solar input, retractable cabling and dual SDC ports in one unit rather than as separate accessories.

Charging Speed Across Five Methods

Charging Speed Across Five Methods

AC grid charging takes the Power Auro 2000 Elite from 0% to 80% in 60 minutes at up to 2000W input. The built-in car charger reaches a full charge in as little as 4 hours connected directly to a car battery, and the MPPT module across both SDC ports together accepts up to 1200W of solar input for a full recharge in around 2.7 hours. Grid power combined with solar or car input runs at up to 2000W through DJI's Intelligent Hybrid Recharging, and UPS mode switches to battery power in 0.01 seconds if grid power drops.

Built for Field and Drone Operations

With the DJI Power Fast Charge Cable for Drones, the SDC ports deliver up to 240W of fast charging direct to Intelligent Flight Batteries used in the Mavic 4 Pro, Air 3 Series and compatible aircraft, taking an Air 3 Series battery from 10% to 95% in 30 minutes and a Matrice 4 Series battery from 10% to 95% in 35 minutes under DJI's own controlled test conditions. The DJI Power SDC to PoE Power Cable connects the unit directly to a DJI O4 Ground Station, running a remote operation without mains power on site. For a survey, inspection or mapping job away from a fixed power source, this turns the Power Auro 2000 Elite into field charging infrastructure rather than just home backup.

Battery and Safety

LiFePO4 cells sit behind a 5VB flame-retardant enclosure rated to withstand up to 1 tonne of static load, and DJI states more than 70% capacity retention after 6,000 cycles, roughly 10 years of daily use. The battery management system runs 13 temperature sensors and 40 built-in fuses, pausing automatically if it detects abnormal conditions, and a sub-nano protective coating on core components replaces conventional conformal coating for better resistance to moisture, salt spray and corrosion. Noise stays below 30dB under low-load discharge, and the unit operates up to 5000m altitude.

App Control and Expansion

The redesigned DJI Home app monitors battery level and power flow and switches the unit into Fast Recharge Mode with one tap. The Power Auro 2000 Elite scales to 12kWh total with DJI's smallest expansion battery, chaining up to five units, though DJI has confirmed the expansion battery itself will launch at a later date rather than alongside the main unit.
