Why Aerial Photography Is Different From Other Types Of Photography.

While other forms of photography require the use of a camera mounted on a tripod a drone allows photographers to capture images from above without having to worry about getting too close to the subject. This means that drones allow photographers to capture high-quality aerial images that can rival the quality of ground photography. Drones have advanced so much in the last 5 years that they are becoming more and more widely used instead of other methods such as taking pictures from helicopters.

The Benefits of Aerial Photography For Businesses.

There are several reasons why businesses should consider using aerial photography as part of their marketing strategy. First, aerial photography provides a different perspective on the world below. It gives people a chance to see things they might not otherwise notice. Second, aerial photography helps businesses connect with customers by providing them with a more intimate view of their products and services. Finally, aerial photography can help companies establish brand identity. By capturing high-quality images of their business, companies can show off their company logo and colours while also promoting their products and services.

The Benefits of Aerial Photography For Hobbyists

Drone photography is a great way of getting high-quality aerial images of the surrounding areas. These photos can expose details that you may miss if you were taking pictures from ground levels. Drones are getting so advanced that you can easily go to your local park (See Laws) and take stunning aerial photography without much training.

If you are to sell images that you take you will need insurance. Please see the CAA’s Drone Code here

Which drones are the best for Aerial Photography?

Drones can vary in price, DJI’s cheapest drone is £99 and the most expensive drone is £11055. It depends on your budget on which drone is the best for you but all DJI drones are great at aerial photography.

DJI Mini 3 Pro - The DJI Mini 3 Pro is probably the most advanced sub 250g drone on the market. The Mini 3 Pro is capable of 48mp photos and is used by many operators in the UK. As the Mini 3 Pro is under 250g you can fly it pretty much anywhere that’s not restricted if you deem it safe. This drone costs £859 with the DJI RC screen.

DJI Mavic 3 - The DJI Mavic 3 is DJI’s flagship consumer drone. This is capable of 20mp stills for it’s Micro 4/3” CMOS Hasselblad sensor. Whilst 20mp sounds small compared to the Mini 3 Pro it actually captured more detailed photos as the sensor is much bigger. The DJI Mavic 3 weighs in at 895 grams so you are slightly more restricted when operating it. This drone costs £2399 for the Mavic 3 Fly More Combo
