What are the main features of the DJI Mini 3 Pro?

Under 250g - If a drone is under 250g you don’t have to register the drone in most countries meaning that you can use it without any hassle. Although for the UK you need an Operator ID to operate the drone. If you are operating the drone commercially you will need to have drone insurance and that doesn't change based on the weight of the drone.

Amazing Camera - The DJI Mini 3 comes with a 1/1.3” CMOS sensor that has a variety of amazing features. The Mini 3 Pro’s sensor supports 4K/60fps HDR video and 48mp photos. This Sensor is amazing in all lights meaning you can use this drone in all lighting situations throughout the day and the quality of the pictures and videos will still be as good as it would be in perfect lighting.


The DJI Mini 3 also supports other features such as True Vertical where the camera will go portrait for social media, Focus Track which follows the subject and keeps it in the frame and 4x digital zoom.


Class-leading Flight Time - The DJI Mini 3 is capable of flying for 34 mins on the standard flight battery which is 3 minutes more than the previous DJI mini 2.


Next Level Safety - The DJI Mini 3 comes with features that enable you to operate it with total confidence. The Mini 3 comes with a fully upgraded obstacle avoidance sensing and stable video transmission system. DJI states that this is the safest mini to date because it has forward, backward and downward sensors that offer a broader sensing range. As well as the sensors, the DJI Mini 3 also comes with Advanced Pilot Assistance Systems (APAS 4.0) which detects objects in the flight path and then moves the drone accordingly so that the Mini 3 doesn’t hit anything.

Is the Mini 3 better than the Mini 2?


The DJI Mini 3 is a complete upgrade over the DJI Mini 2. Everything has been upgraded compared to the Mini 3. For example, The user can fly for three minutes longer on a single charge with just the standard Mini 3 battery or they can upgrade to the Intelligent flight battery and get a staggering 47 minutes of flight time on one charge. (Not available in the UK). 

The Camera on the DJI Mini 3 is also a big improvement from the Mini 2. The previous Mini 2 is only capable of 4K/30fps compared to the new Mini 3 which is capable of 4K/60fps which is a huge improvement and will make a noticeable difference to the video recorded. The DJI Mini 3 camera also performs better in low light situations meaning that you can get better photos and videos at all times throughout the day.
