Payload Capacity Is the Biggest Practical Gap
6kg against 2.7kg changes what's actually flyable at once. The M400's third connector alone takes up to 6kg on its own, enough for a single heavier payload where the M350 RTK would be at its combined limit. Both aircraft support multiple simultaneous payloads, a camera and a spotlight together, for instance, but the M400 does it with meaningfully more capacity spare, useful for combining a LiDAR unit with a separate RGB or thermal camera on the same flight without running close to the limit.
Choosing Between the M400 and Matrice 350 RTK
For a modular, multi-payload enterprise platform, the M400's greater payload capacity, longer transmission range and more comprehensive obstacle sensing make it the stronger specification across the board, and it's the one currently in stock. The M350 RTK comparison here is useful mainly for teams assessing an existing fleet against the newer aircraft, or comparing specs before confirming current availability, rather than as a live choice between two purchasable options.

Common Questions
Both its listings on Drone Safe Store currently show as discontinued. The Matrice 400 is in stock in both its Drone Only and Worry-Free Plus Combo listings.
No, neither M400 listing includes a payload. A camera, thermal unit or LiDAR sensor is chosen and bought separately, the same as the M350 RTK.
6kg total against 2.7kg, more than double, with a third connector alone rated up to 6kg on its own.
The M400, at 40km FCC against the M350 RTK's 20km FCC, using DJI's newer O4 Enterprise Enhanced system.
Yes, the M400 adds rotating LiDAR, an upper LiDAR and six-direction mmWave radar on top of binocular vision. The M350 RTK relies on binocular vision alone.
