DJI D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Station
Three stations in one: base, relay, and rover.
Most RTK base stations do one job. The D-RTK 3 does three. It broadcasts centimetre-level corrections to multiple aircraft at once, relays transmission to extend operational range in difficult terrain, or works as a handheld rover for ground point capture with the DJI Enterprise app and DJI Terra.
Three Modes, One Station
Base Station Mode
Broadcasts RTK corrections to multiple aircraft simultaneously, giving centimetre-level positioning on sites with no network RTK coverage. Removes the need for a mobile data connection and the need to lay ground control points.
Relay Station Mode
Extends transmission range between aircraft and controller, and improves link reliability where buildings, trees, or terrain break line of sight. DJI's own figures show a three- to five-fold improvement in severely obstructed environments such as built-up areas or mountainous terrain.
Rover Station Mode
Works as a handheld GNSS rover with the DJI Enterprise app and DJI Terra, capturing survey-grade ground points to verify or supplement aerial data. This is the mode most competitors' base stations don't have.
Why Not Just Use a Network RTK Subscription
A fair question, since we sell those too at £1,080 a year.
Network RTK suits you if you work in areas with reliable mobile coverage and don't want hardware to carry, set up, and maintain.
The D-RTK 3 suits you if you work on remote sites without signal, need corrections for several aircraft at once, or want independence from ionospheric disruption. Network RTK degrades during periods of high ionospheric activity; a local base station referencing its own position does not. The D-RTK 3 tracks five global constellations across 19 frequency points, where single-frequency systems have fewer options to fall back on.
There's also a cost argument: the station is a one-off £1,369 against a recurring annual subscription. Many operators run both, using network RTK by default and the station where coverage or accuracy demands it.
Precision Hardware
Air dielectric antennas hold millimetre-level phase centre accuracy, and a built-in high-performance IMU resolves both position and orientation rather than position alone. Five global navigation systems are tracked across 19 frequency points, with multiple data transmission links supported.
Deployment
The station mounts on the D-RTK 3 Survey Pole and Tripod Kit, sold separately, for stable and repeatable ground setup. For permanent installations, the D-RTK 3 Relay Fixed Deployment Version is the fixed-site variant.
Compatibility
Works with RTK-compatible DJI enterprise aircraft including the Matrice 4 Series and Matrice 4D Series, and extends operational range for DJI Dock deployments in relay mode. Confirm compatibility with your specific airframe and firmware before ordering, and our team can check this for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need the survey pole and tripod kit as well?
For base or rover use, effectively yes. The station needs stable, repeatable mounting to give consistent results, and the kit is sold separately. Call us and we'll quote both together.
What range does relay mode give in the UK?
DJI publishes relay figures under FCC and SRRC standards rather than CE, and CE limits apply here. Real-world range also depends heavily on terrain and interference. Rather than quote a number that won't match your site, call us with your operating environment and we'll give you a realistic expectation.
Can it support more than one aircraft at a time?
Yes. In base station mode it broadcasts corrections to multiple aircraft simultaneously, which is where it earns its place in a fleet operation.
Does it replace ground control points?
For most work, yes. RTK positioning at centimetre level removes the need to lay and survey GCPs, though many operators still place a few as an accuracy check on high-precision deliverables.
What's the difference between this and the Relay Fixed Deployment Version?
This is the portable, multi-mode station. The Relay Fixed Deployment Version is built for permanent installation at a fixed site, typically alongside a dock.
What warranty comes with it?
| Component | Warranty |
|---|---|
| Main Body | 24 Months |
| Survey Pole and Tripod Kit | 6 Months |
| Companion Antenna | No Warranty |
| Other Accessories | No Warranty |
Can I get this on finance?
Ltd companies can access iwocaPay financing, and individual buyers can use Klarna or Clearpay at checkout.
