The aircraft logs four files during the flight: an .obs file (raw satellite observation data in RINEX format), a .nav file (satellite ephemeris data), a correction log from the base station in RTCM format, and an .mrk file recording the exact timestamp of every image exposure.
PDRA01, Pre-Defined Risk Assessment 01, is a Specific Category Operational Authorisation with its risk assessment already completed by the CAA.
A 100MP sensor at variable aperture gives the Mavic 4 Pro genuine exposure control the Mavic 3 Pro's fixed-aperture 20MP sensor doesn't have, closing down for bright midday shoots or opening up as light fades without relying on ND filters alone.
Mission planning starts with what the deliverable actually needs to resolve, since that decides flight altitude and, in turn, ground sampling distance (GSD), the real-world size each pixel represents.
The H30T's 1280 x 1024 thermal sensor captures four times the pixel data of the M4T's 640 x 512 unit, a genuine difference for identifying a smaller heat signature at distance rather than just seeing a hotspot exists.
The D-RTK 3 works out its own precise position from satellites, then broadcasts a local radio correction directly to the aircraft, an entirely self-contained loop that doesn't touch the internet at all.
The M4T does one job well: a complete thermal and visual aircraft with nothing further to buy, at a fraction of the M400's entry price.
Controller-free flying exists at exactly one price point. Only the Neo 2, at £209.00, flies its basic modes without a controller at all; every other model here, from £242.00 up to £859.00, uses a conventional two-stick setup.
