Introducing the DJI RS 4 Mini, a brand-new compact and lightweight gimbal for content creators. With automated axis locks, intelligent tracking and composition, Teflon™ enhanced balance, and 3rd-gen native vertical shooting, it enables content producers and independent commercial videographers to film more efficiently and seamlessly. 

One Second Unlock, Start Filming Immediately

The DJI RS 4 Mini features auto axis locks, a technology previously found in DJI’s flagship gimbals. Upon powering on, all three axis locks automatically unlock, and they lock again when powered off or put to sleep. This significantly speeds up filming, transitions, and storage. The upgraded storage design allows the axis arms to fold flatter, saving space. With automated axis locks, the gimbal can be securely stored at the press of a button, making it easy to pack and carry.

Rapid Vertical Switch

The DJI RS 4 Mini offers the fastest transition between horizontal and vertical shooting in the RS series. Switching to vertical mode takes just 10 seconds—simply loosen and press the single-side knob, remove the horizontal plate, rotate it 90°, and secure it back in place. This allows for direct vertical shooting, making it ideal for mobile viewing and getting your content to your audience even faster.

Effortless Balancing in Three Steps

Balancing a camera has never been easier. The RS 4 Mini is upgraded with Teflon interlayers, reducing friction for smoother adjustments. A new fine-tuning knob on the tilt axis provides precise, millimeter-level balancing. The upper quick-release plate features three positioning slots, allowing flexible installation based on your camera. This not only expands balancing options but also enables quick repositioning when reattaching the camera without disrupting the balance.

Versatile Camera and Smartphone Support

With a 2 kg (4.4 lbs) payload capacity, the RS 4 Mini effortlessly handles setups like the Sony A7 series with a 24-70 mm F2.8 GM II lens, as well as vlog cameras such as the Sony ZV series. Even when combined with DJI Mic series microphones, fill lights, and other accessories, it delivers smooth and stable movements. The new Phone Holder allows seamless switching to a smartphone stabilizer, making it a highly adaptable tool for any scenario.

Seamless Wireless Recording and Zoom

Bluetooth pairing enables direct start/stop recording control via the gimbal’s record button, eliminating the need for a cable release. The new zoom control function allows for Power Zoom with PZ lenses and Clear Image Zoom simply by pushing the joystick, making one-handed operation effortless. Once paired, a camera reconnects automatically for a seamless experience.

Enhanced User Interface

The updated touchscreen features clearer icons and smoother navigation. New gimbal status prompts provide real-time updates, while the front dial allows precise parameter adjustments. An auto-lock function prevents accidental touches by dimming the screen while displaying gimbal and joystick modes, helping conserve battery life.

Compact and Lightweight Briefcase Handle

Designed specifically for the RS 4 Mini, the next-gen briefcase handle is approximately 20% smaller and 12% lighter. This refined design makes low-angle handheld filming more comfortable and effortless, enhancing creative shooting possibilities.
