Do You Actually Need This
You need this if your FlightHub 2 account is consistently approaching or hitting its storage limit, particularly on organisations running frequent mapping missions, long-term Dock 3 archives, or high-resolution media that accumulates quickly.
You don't need this if you're well within your plan's included storage. Check your current usage in FlightHub 2 before ordering, this is a substantial capacity increase and a large cost, not something to buy speculatively.

What Happens When Storage Runs Out
Worth knowing regardless of whether you upgrade: when storage capacity is reached, you can no longer upload new data, but nothing already stored is deleted or made inaccessible. That means hitting the limit stalls new uploads rather than risking existing mission archives, though it will interrupt an active workflow if it happens mid-project.
Activation and Validity
Same category of add-on as DJI's other recharge and upgrade packages, confirmed from DJI's official FAQ:
- Activation window: must be activated within 6 months of purchase, or the code expires unused.
- Usage validity: once activated, storage upgrades carry a 1-year validity period, in line with DJI's Recharge Package terms.
- Refunds: available if you request one within 30 calendar days of purchase and the code hasn't been activated. Once activated, no refund, replacement, or transfer to another organisation is available.
