DJI AS2 Speaker
Real-time broadcasting with echo suppression, recorded playback, media import and text-to-speech from a single 194g payload, reaching 120dB at 1 metre over an effective 400 metre broadcast distance, confirmed on DJI's own Matrice 5T specification page. A five-colour strobe light (red, blue, green, white, yellow) runs alongside the audio functions for direct visual signalling. DJI's FAQ confirms the AS2 Speaker as exclusively compatible with the Matrice 5T.
What It's For
Real-time broadcasting puts a pilot's own voice over a dispersal area, crowd or incident scene from the air, with echo suppression keeping the message intelligible rather than muddied by its own reflection. Recorded broadcasting, media import and text-to-speech cover the cases where a pre-set message, consistently delivered word for word, matters more than a live call, relevant for a standard evacuation or warning announcement repeated across a shift. The five-colour strobe adds a direct visual signal to the same payload, useful where sound alone won't reliably reach or hold attention.
A 194g weight and 35W max power are the figures to check against the rest of the Matrice 5T's payload budget before stacking the AS2 Speaker with other accessories. DJI's FAQ instructs installing the AL2 SpotLight first when a crew is fitting both the spotlight and speaker to the same airframe.
Compatibility
Confirmed exclusively for the DJI Matrice 5T, per DJI's own FAQ wording. As with the AL2 SpotLight, this isn't confirmed for the Matrice 5TD on any DJI page found, so don't assume cross-compatibility when ordering for a dock-paired deployment, call ahead to confirm.
