Secures the Dock 3's gimbal system during transport, so the dock can be mounted on a moving vehicle without the gimbal shifting or vibrating loose in transit. Required hardware for the vehicle-mounted deployments we cover on the Dock 3 pages, not an optional extra.
Why It's Needed
The Dock 3 is DJI's first dock built for mobile deployment, and a moving vehicle introduces vibration and movement a fixed installation never sees. This mount is what keeps the gimbal secure through that, engineered specifically for the loads and vibration profile of vehicle transport rather than a static site.
Without it, a standard fixed mount risks gimbal misalignment or damage over repeated journeys, which is a far more expensive problem than the mount itself.
Fits Vehicle-Mounted Deployments
Relevant to any operation running the Dock 3 from a vehicle, incident response, search and rescue, corridor inspection, or any operation where the launch point needs to travel between sites rather than sit fixed. Two docks can be mounted on a single vehicle for continuous rotation, and each needs its own mount.

No. This is specifically for vehicle-mounted deployment. A fixed installation, on a concrete base, steel frame, or ground mount, doesn't need it.

Yes, it's part of the Dock 3 platform itself rather than tied to a specific aircraft.
Do I need two if I'm running two docks on one vehicle?
Yes. Each dock in a dual-dock vehicle configuration needs its own mount.
