DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo Plus (RC 2)
DJI's flagship-calibre 1-inch sensor in a body built to slip into a pocket, paired with three Intelligent Flight Battery Plus packs giving up to 52 minutes per flight, roughly 16 minutes more than the standard battery. This is the version built for creators who'd rather land less often than carry less kit.
A Weight and Classification Note
The Mini 5 Pro ships C0 certified by EASA/UK CAA, a classification capped at under 250g. With the Battery Plus fitted, a configured unit has been independently weighed at approximately 299g, above the C0 ceiling. That doesn't mean you lose access to flying over people altogether, under the UK's class-marking rules in effect since 1 January 2026, drones up to 900g can hold a UK1/C1 mark and still fly in the A1 subcategory. DJI states this reclassification can be requested directly through DJI Support in the DJI Fly app.

The Combo Plus is built for total flight time and fewer battery changes across a session, not for staying under the 250g line. If weight classification matters more to you than endurance, the standard Fly More Combo keeps you under it.
1-Inch Sensor, Genuinely Pro-Grade Output
A 50MP 1-inch CMOS sensor at f/1.8 captures 4K/60fps HDR video with up to 14 stops of dynamic range, holding detail in cloud texture and shadow through sunrise and sunset shots that would blow out on a smaller sensor. 10-bit H.265 video runs even in normal colour mode, with ISO pushed to 12,800 for genuinely usable low-light capture, or up to 3,200 in D-Log M and HLG for maximum dynamic range in urban night scenes.
48mm Med-Tele Mode
A dedicated 2x zoom mode resolves higher image quality than digital zoom on the previous Mini Pro generation, making subjects stand out with real texture rather than a soft, upscaled crop. Combined with DJI's portrait optimisation algorithms, adjusting brightness, contrast, and skin tone automatically, faces read clearly and naturally even at range.
225° Gimbal Roll and True Vertical Shooting
The gimbal rotates 225° for genuinely dynamic camera movement, either manually or through intelligent modes like QuickShot Rotate, Timelapse, Spotlight, and Waypoint Flight. True vertical shooting captures full-frame video and stills ready for social media instantly, no cropping needed, ideal for skyscrapers, waterfalls, and cityscapes shot straight for the format they're going to be watched in.
Nightscape Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing
A forward-facing LiDAR unit, paired with fisheye lenses front and rear and a binocular and 3D infrared system underneath, gives genuine omnidirectional obstacle sensing, including in near-total darkness where standard vision sensors stop working. Below 1 lux of ambient light, where camera-based sensing becomes ineffective, the LiDAR alone keeps detecting obstacles ahead and can manoeuvre the aircraft upward automatically during a night-time return home.
Return Home Without Satellite Signal
Dual-band L1+L5 GNSS gives more stable, precise positioning in normal conditions. But in genuinely GNSS-denied environments, taking off from a balcony or between tall buildings, the aircraft uses real-time vision positioning to memorise its outbound flight path in adequate light, and can retrace it home safely even with no satellite signal at all.
Upgraded ActiveTrack 360°
The aircraft detects whether you're cycling or moving on foot and automatically selects Standard or Cycling tracking mode. Standard mode holds a steady altitude and distance following your path; Cycling mode reacts faster to sudden turns and speed changes, keeping you framed through movement a slower tracking system would lose.
Off-State QuickTransfer
Wake the aircraft remotely through the DJI Fly app within Bluetooth range, no need to physically power on the drone or controller first. With 42GB of internal storage and Wi-Fi 6, files transfer at up to 100MB/s, and the app keeps downloading in the background even if you switch to something else on your phone.
Charging
Using the DJI 65W Portable Charger through the Two-Way Charging Hub, a single battery reaches full charge in around 46 minutes, with all three batteries charging in sequence in roughly 115 minutes total. The hub also charges the RC 2 controller.

Is the Mini 5 Pro waterproof?
No. Avoid contact with water during use. If caught in rain, land as soon as possible and let the aircraft dry fully, inside and out, before flying again.
Does the Battery Plus keep the aircraft under 250g?
No, a configured unit with the Battery Plus fitted has been independently weighed at approximately 299g, above the C0 classification's 250g ceiling the aircraft ships with. That doesn't automatically mean you lose the right to fly over people, though. Under the UK's class-marking rules in effect since 1 January 2026, drones up to 900g can hold a UK1/C1 mark and still fly in the A1 subcategory, the same "over people" right sub-250g drones have. DJI states a switch to C1 classification can be requested directly through DJI Support in the DJI Fly app. If you're flying with the Battery Plus fitted, worth confirming that reclassification with DJI before you fly, since the mark needs to match the aircraft's actual configured weight to be valid.
What's actually different between the Combo and the Combo Plus?
The battery. Both include an RC 2 controller, charging hub, ND filters, and spare propellers. The standard Combo uses the regular Intelligent Flight Battery (~36 min flight time); this Combo Plus uses the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus (~52 min), at the cost of extra weight per battery.
What certification level is the Mini 5 Pro in Europe?
