A new-generation 4/3 CMOS sensor and image processing platform delivers 100MP stills and 6K/60fps HDR video, with video dynamic range reaching 15.5 stops. That range is what allows a sunset or backlit scene to hold both sky detail and shadow detail without bracketing.
Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution handles the colour science, producing skin tones and skies that need less correction. High-resolution RAW stacking combines up to five frames for stills where detail and noise performance matter more than speed.
A 1/1.3-inch medium telephoto and a 1/1.5-inch 168mm telephoto extend the aircraft's reach well beyond the wide camera. The 168mm unit pairs a 50MP sensor with a wide f/2.8 aperture and a gimbal algorithm written specifically for long focal lengths, which is what keeps a telephoto frame stable at distance.
Long reach compresses depth perception, flattening the image and separating a subject with unusual clarity. The same camera produces detailed Free Panoramas, resolving cityscape detail when zoomed in and full skylines when zoomed out.
The Infinity Gimbal rotates 360° and tilts up to 70° upward, supporting multi-angle filming and compositions from below a subject rather than always above it. Combined with three focal lengths, that adds a dimension of camera movement previously requiring repositioning the entire aircraft.

The Mavic 4 Pro sits well above the 250g threshold, so full registration applies. You will need both a Flyer ID, earned by passing the CAA's free online theory test and valid for five years, and an Operator ID, a low-cost annual registration, before flying outdoors.
Its weight also places it outside the A1 category, so it cannot be flown as close to uninvolved people as a sub-250g drone. Pilots working in built-up areas should consider the A2 Certificate of Competency, and commercial operators requiring an Operational Authorisation should look at the GVC Course.
Against the Mavic 3 Pro, the Mavic 4 Pro roughly quadruples still resolution to 100MP, lifts video to 6K/60fps HDR, extends transmission from 15km to 30km, adds eight minutes of flight time, and introduces the Infinity Gimbal.
Against the Air 3S, it offers a considerably larger sensor, a third focal length, and far greater range, at roughly double the price. The Air 3S remains the stronger value for anyone who does not need flagship imaging.
Against the Mini 5 Pro, the trade is capability against weight, since the Mini stays under 250g and keeps A1 flying privileges.
