DJI Zenmuse L1
DJI's first LiDAR payload, combining a Livox LiDAR module, a high-accuracy IMU, and a 20MP 1-inch CMOS mapping camera on a 3-axis stabilised gimbal. Captures real-time 3D point cloud data in a single pass, day or night, for survey, forestry, and asset inspection work.

LiDAR and Camera in One Payload
The Livox LiDAR module handles the measurement, while the 20MP 1-inch CMOS camera with mechanical shutter captures the visual data used to colourise the cloud. The high-accuracy IMU ties the two together, keeping positional data aligned throughout the flight so post-processing runs cleanly rather than needing manual correction.
Built for Complex Structures
Because LiDAR measures directly rather than inferring geometry from overlapping images, the L1 handles subjects that defeat photogrammetry: power lines, lattice towers, dense woodland, and narrow structural detail. Paired with the Matrice 350 RTK and DJI Terra, it produces reconstructed models accurate enough for survey deliverables.

Does the L1 work with the Matrice 400?
No. The L1 supports the Matrice 350 RTK and Matrice 300 RTK only. For a Matrice 400-compatible LiDAR payload, please see the Zenmuse L2 or Zenmuse L3.
Should I buy the L1 or the L2?
For most buyers, the L2. It improves accuracy, extends detection range, removes the L1's warm-up period, and produces a finer point cloud, while working with the Matrice 400 as well as the 350 and 300 RTK. The L1 remains a capable payload for operators already standardised on it, or where an existing workflow depends on L1 data. Our team can talk through which genuinely suits your situation.
Do I need DJI Terra to process L1 data?
DJI Terra is the intended pipeline for generating point clouds and 3D models. The L1 also records GNSS observation data and image logs for PPK post-processing in third-party software.
Can the L1 be used at night?
Yes. LiDAR generates its own laser pulses rather than relying on ambient light, so measurement works in full darkness. The RGB colourisation will be limited without light, so plan accordingly if true-colour output matters.
