Requires DJI Terra, this is a companion tool, not standalone software.
DJI Modify repairs and cleans 3D models after reconstruction. It removes floating artefacts, fills holes in meshes, flattens badly reconstructed surfaces, deletes unwanted vehicles, and repairs textures, then hands the corrected model back to Terra in one click. For anyone delivering 3D models to clients, it removes the step where a model gets exported into third-party software for tidying.

Mesh defects
Automatically identifies and repairs floating objects, holes, and vehicles with a single click, producing realistic textures rather than obvious patches.
Surface and texture problems
Flatten surfaces that reconstructed poorly, fill gaps, correct water surfaces that came out irregular, and repair texture errors, either automatically or by selecting specific areas manually.
Point clouds
Smoothing, noise reduction, downsampling, and classification, with one-click adjustment of point cloud categories and automatic terrain generation.
One-Click Terra Integration
From inside a Terra 3D modelling project, launch Modify directly. Terra generates the editing files automatically, including pre-identified objects and pre-processing, so the model arrives ready to work on rather than needing manual preparation. Corrected models pass straight back.
Batch Editing
Import and export model files quickly and edit multiple models in a batch rather than one at a time. On a survey business processing several sites a week, this is where the licence pays for itself.

Do I need DJI Terra to use Modify?
Yes, and this is the key qualifier. Modify only edits 3D visible-light mesh models reconstructed in Terra v4.0.0 or later. It won't open output from other photogrammetry software. If you don't already run Terra, you'd need a Terra licence alongside this.
Can I try it before buying?
Yes. DJI offers a free trial licence valid for six months, requested through DJI's website with approval by email. Given the hardware requirements and the Terra dependency, trialling first is genuinely worth doing on this one.
Does the licence work offline?
No. Only online licences are available, so the software needs network connectivity in use.
Can I move the licence to a different computer?
Each licence binds to one DJI account and one computer, and the bound account cannot be changed afterwards. Unbinding to move to a different machine is limited, typically one request per year on a single-device licence. Make sure the licence goes on the right machine and the right account first time.
Is a permanent licence available?
Yes, DJI offers Modify Flagship as a perpetual licence, though it isn't listed on our site. Call us for pricing. As with Terra, the perpetual licence costs roughly three years of annual licensing, so break-even sits around the three year mark.
Are there annual upgrade or maintenance fees?
No. There's no separate upgrade or maintenance fee on top of the licence.
Do I need this if I only produce 2D orthomosaics?
No. Modify works on 3D mesh models. If your deliverables are orthomosaics or raw point clouds, Terra alone covers it.
Can I get this on finance?
Ltd companies can spread the cost with iwocaPay, and individual buyers can use Klarna or Clearpay at checkout.
