New Design, All-Purpose Usability

Even without a Ronin stabiliser, the newly designed DJI Focus Pro Grip offers an amazing LiDAR focusing experience with its 2.5-hour system power supply, user-friendly screen operations, auto-calibration and data storage for 15 lenses, Bluetooth start/stop recording, and handheld shooting capabilities.
 

Expanding and Deepening the Focus

With the extended LiDAR human-subject focus distance of 20 meters—roughly three times that of the previous generation—telephoto lens shooting is now easily handled.

Creative freedom is greatly enhanced by a super-wide focus FOV of 70°, which makes edge compositions and close-up shots easy to achieve.

Improved Focusing Accuracy and Stability

With 76,800 ranging points, the upgraded LiDAR outperforms the previous generation by 77% and improves human-subject edge detection while decreasing focus hunting. Furthermore, even when the subject is moving quickly, focus consistently locks on thanks to a 30 Hz LiDAR refresh rate.

Versatile Combinations for Various Situations

LiDAR, Motor, Grip, and Hand Unit are the four main modules that make up Focus Pro. Based on various shooting requirements, cinematographers can combine these modules in a flexible way.

LiDAR autofocus is a useful tool for lone cinematographers to increase shooting efficiency and produce visually striking shots. With the Hand Unit, collaborative teams can precisely control focus to add depth to their visual storytelling. Focus You Can Feel

The front dial on the Grip (or the focus knob on the Hand Unit) rotates in tandem with the autofocus when in AMF mode. Cinematographers can now see the focus status on the screen and feel the autofocus logic intuitively through tactile feedback on their fingertips, making it possible for them to make quick decisions about when to manually intervene.

Millisecond-Level Transitions between Auto and Manual

Control over your focus is always within reach. It takes milliseconds to engage and disengage manual focus control in AMF mode. By minimising disruptions from focus mode changes, this not only ensures coherent visual storytelling and more accurately captures the operator's intent, but it also greatly increases on-set efficiency.

To assess the autofocus status and determine the best time for manual intervention, LiDAR Waveform also provides additional information such as subject position, a real-time focal plane reference line, and distance scale.
