Emlid Reach M2 RTK / PPK System
A compact multi-band GNSS module built to be wired into a drone. Connects to a camera's hot shoe to timestamp every photo with sub-microsecond precision, which is what cuts the number of ground control points a mapping survey needs.

Camera Synchronisation
Connects directly to a camera's hot shoe port and logs the exact time and position of every photo to sub-microsecond precision.
Without it, an autopilot flying at speed with GPS updating at 5Hz only fixes a position every few metres, which isn't precise enough for accurate georeferencing on its own. With the M2 handling the sync, ground control points shift from mandatory to being an accuracy check.
Multi-Band Tracking
Tracks four constellations across two frequency bands each, giving a broader signal set to draw on than single-band systems. On a fast, low-altitude mapping pass, that's what keeps a fix stable rather than dropping in and out.
Integration Options
- Wi-Fi for configuration and monitoring without a cable.
- Bluetooth for wireless access to Emlid Flow.
- USB, UART and Event ports for wiring into a flight controller or onboard computer.
- External LoRa radio (sold separately) for corrections over distances up to 8km without internet coverage.
Logging and Post-Processing
Records RINEX logs with event markers at up to 10Hz to 16GB of internal storage, ready for post-processing in Emlid Studio, Emlid's free PPK software, or any other RINEX-compatible tool.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a handheld receiver like the RS3 or RX2?
No. The M2 is a bare module for integration into a drone or UAV. For a handheld GNSS rover, see the Emlid Reach RX2 or Emlid Reach RS3.
Do I still need ground control points?
Fewer. The camera sync timestamps every photo precisely enough that GCPs become a verification step rather than a requirement.
Does it include a LoRa radio?
No, the radio module and antenna are sold separately. RTCM3 and NTRIP corrections are supported over the other connectivity options as standard.
What processes the data afterwards?
Emlid Studio, which is free, handles post-processing of the RINEX logs. Any RINEX-compatible software works.
What warranty applies?
Emlid provide a 2-year manufacturer warranty as standard, separate from DJI's scheme since this is an Emlid product. Our team can confirm current terms before you buy.
Can I get this on finance?
