DJI Matrice 4TD (Drone Only)
The Matrice 4TD airframe on its own: IP55-rated, thermal-equipped, and Dock 3-ready. Combines a 640×512 thermal sensor with wide, medium telephoto, and telephoto cameras, a laser rangefinder, and an NIR auxiliary light. This drone-only version can operate independently without a Dock 3, but doesn't include the hardware to fly it manually out of the box.
Read This Before You Buy
This listing is the aircraft only. It does not include a flight battery or a remote controller, and the box contains just the drone, a screwdriver, and a USB-A to USB-C cable. You will need, at minimum:
- A DJI Matrice 4D Series Battery, £270, to power it at all.
- A DJI RC Plus 2 Enterprise controller, unless the aircraft is flying exclusively from a DJI Dock 3, which doesn't require one for automated missions.
This SKU exists for two situations specifically: adding a thermal aircraft to an existing Dock 3 deployment, or expanding a fleet where you already hold batteries and controllers. If neither applies, the Matrice 4TD Standalone Combo at £7,395 includes the RC Plus 2 Enterprise controller and is very likely the purchase you actually want.
