AI-Assisted Flight Operations
The onboard AI model identifies vehicles, vessels, and people automatically during flight, so operators spend less time manually tracking a subject and more time on the actual survey task. Four modes build on this:
- Deploy Smart Track to keep the camera locked on a moving subject without manual gimbal input.
- Use POI (Point of Interest) to circle a fixed structure automatically, useful for inspection of a single site feature.
- Run Cruise mode on long transects, holding a set direction without constant stick input on corridor surveys.
- Set FlyTo to send the aircraft directly to a mapped coordinate, cutting transit time between waypoints on large sites.
Precision Mapping
- Shoot at 0.5-second intervals during orthophoto or oblique capture, at mapping speeds up to 21 m/s.
- Capture 5-Directional Oblique automatically, with the gimbal rotating through multiple angles per flight.
- Run 3-Directional Ortho Capture to cover up to 2.8km² in a single flight.
- Rely on Distortion Correction 2.0, factory-calibrated per unit, for cleaner DJI Terra reconstructions.
- Get an automatic survey report from DJI Pilot 2 after every flight, flagging photo points, RTK status, and anomalies on-site.
D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Station
The D-RTK 3 station provides its own local RTK correction signal, so positioning accuracy doesn't depend on network coverage or a paid subscription on remote sites. Set up on the included tripod and survey pole, it pairs directly with the Matrice 4E for centimetre-level positioning throughout a flight.
