DJI Osmo 360: Native 8K 360 Camera With Dual 1-Inch Sensors
The DJI Osmo 360 is DJI's first dedicated 360 camera, capturing native 8K/30fps 360 footage on a square sensor architecture that gives two 1-inch 360 image fields. You frame the shot afterwards in the app rather than aiming the camera at the time, so a single pass captures every angle.
With 13.5 stops of dynamic range and a large f/1.9 aperture, it holds clear, vibrant footage even in high-contrast scenes like city nights, sunrise, and sunset.

Native 8K 360 Capture
The square sensor architecture is what sets the Osmo 360 apart, giving two full 1-inch 360 image fields with large 2.4μm pixels for genuine flagship image quality.
- Record native 8K/30fps 360 for up to 100 minutes continuously, with a high-performance chip and cooling design that keeps it running
- Push to 8K/50fps 360 for the highest-spec footage, or 6K 360 for up to 190 minutes of recording
- Capture split-second action at 4K/100fps 360, with up to 4x slow motion
- Shoot 120MP (16K) 360 photos in a single press, revealing razor-sharp detail across the full field of view
Reframe Anything, After the Shot
360 capture removes the need to frame in the moment. Point the camera, shoot, then reframe from any angle in the app afterwards. Creative 360 angles like tiny planet, top-down, and low-up make city vlogs and travel content stand out, and the invisible-selfie-stick effect removes the pole for that floating, drone-like look.
In single-lens mode, Boost Video gives a 170° field of view with smooth 4K/120fps footage, so the same camera doubles as a wide action cam.
Low Light and Colour
- Reveal night detail with SuperNight mode, bringing city lights and dark scenes to life in 360
- Boost light intake with the large f/1.9 aperture, holding sharp, detailed footage in low light
- Grade with 10-bit colour and D-Log M, capturing over a billion colours and expanded dynamic range for post-production
Built Tough: Waterproof and Cold-Resistant
Waterproof to IP68 for use underwater to 10 metres with no case, and built to record for more than 1.5 hours in temperatures as low as minus 20°C. That covers diving, watersports, and full winter days where other cameras shut down.
A magnetic quick-release design, 1/4"-20 mounting thread, and compatibility with the entire Osmo Action accessory range mean it mounts to handlebars, wrist, helmet, or any existing Osmo mount.
Battery, Storage and Audio
- Record longer with a battery compatible across the entire Osmo Action series, adding 180 minutes with the optional Battery Extension Rod
- Fast charge to 50% in around 12 minutes over USB
- Store on built-in internal storage plus a microSD slot
- Capture immersive stereo sound through four built-in mics, or connect directly to two DJI Mic transmitters via OsmoAudio with no receiver
Note that first-generation DJI Mic is not supported. Use current-generation Mic Mini 2 or Mic 3 transmitters.
Editing
DJI Studio provides a full suite of built-in tools to edit, export, and share directly, and a dedicated Adobe Premiere plugin lets you create 360 videos straight in Premiere.

Osmo 360 or Insta360 X4?
The Osmo 360 is DJI's answer to the 360 camera market, and it competes directly with the Insta360 X4.
The Osmo 360's advantages are the square dual 1-inch sensor for strong low-light performance, native 8K/30fps for up to 100 minutes, IP68 waterproofing to 10 metres, and direct integration with the DJI ecosystem, including Osmo Action accessories, DJI Mic, and DJI Studio. If you already own DJI kit, the Osmo 360 slots straight in.
Osmo 360 or a Flat Camera?
A 360 camera captures everything for reframing later. If you would rather point and shoot a fixed frame, other Osmo cameras may suit you better:
- Osmo Action 6, a rugged flat action camera with a variable aperture
- Osmo Pocket 4 Series, a gimbal vlogging camera with a 1-inch sensor
- Osmo Nano, tiny wearable POV
DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Standard Combo
Dual lenses: 1″ wide-angle & 60mm med-tele · 1″ CMOS with 17-stop dynamic range
Frequently Asked Questions
What can I do with a 360 camera that I cannot with a normal one?
Capture the entire scene at once and choose the framing afterwards in the app. One pass gives every angle, plus creative effects like tiny planet, top-down, and the invisible-selfie-stick look that removes the pole for a floating, drone-like shot.
How is the Osmo 360 different from the Insta360 X4?
The Osmo 360 uses a square dual 1-inch sensor for strong low-light performance, records native 8K/30fps for up to 100 minutes, is IP68 waterproof to 10 metres, and integrates directly with DJI Mic, Osmo Action accessories, and DJI Studio. It is the natural choice if you already own DJI kit.
How deep can it go underwater?
IP68 waterproof to 10 metres with no case, and it records for over 1.5 hours in temperatures as low as minus 20°C.
What is the difference between the Standard and Adventure Combo?
Both include the same camera. The Adventure Combo adds the invisible selfie stick, an extra battery, and the multifunctional battery case, which is better value than buying those separately.
Can I connect a microphone?
Yes, directly to two current-generation DJI Mic transmitters via OsmoAudio, with no receiver. First-generation DJI Mic is not supported.
Do I need a memory card?
Built-in storage is included, with a microSD slot for more. A high-speed card is worth adding for 8K and high-frame-rate footage.
Does it come with a warranty?
Yes. All new, sealed DJI products from Drone Safe Store carry a full 24-month warranty, with DJI Care Refresh available for accidental damage cover.
