The Osmo Action 4 pairs a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with an f/2.8 aperture and 2.4μm pixels, holding detail from sunrise through to low light where smaller-sensor action cameras fall apart. A 155° ultra-wide field of view sits close to natural human vision, which is what makes the footage feel immersive rather than distorted.
It is also the only Osmo Action generation sold in activity-specific combos, with nine configurations covering diving, surfing, skiing, cycling, motorcycling, fishing, and vlogging, each shipping with the mounts that discipline actually needs.

Which Combo Should You Buy?
The Standard Combo at £209 covers the camera, one Extreme Battery, and the core mounting hardware. Right if you already own mounts or want to add them yourself.
The Adventure Combo at £299 is the general-purpose choice, adding two extra batteries for a combined 7.5 hours of runtime, the multifunctional battery case, and the 1.5m extension rod.
The activity combos between £308 and £358 each build on the camera with the specific mounts that discipline needs, which usually works out cheaper than buying the mounts separately and removes the guesswork of picking the right one.
The Adventure Vlog Combo at £468 adds a DJI Mic 2 transmitter with windscreen, clip magnet, and pouch, giving clean audio to camera without a separate purchase.

Battery and Cold Performance
A single Extreme Battery runs for around 2.5 hours, with the three-battery Adventure Combo extending that to roughly 7.5 hours across a day. Rapid charging brings a battery back quickly between sessions.
Deep-freeze resistance holds performance down to minus 20°C, which covers a full winter day on the mountain rather than a single run before shutdown.
Water and Durability
Waterproof to 18 metres straight out of the box with no case, and operable with wet hands. Fitting the Osmo Action 3 Waterproof Case, included in the Diving Combo, extends that to 60 metres with an IP68 rating and anti-fog inserts.
Before any underwater use, fit the lens protective cover and close the covers over the USB-C connector and battery compartment. The camera should not be used in hot springs or near caustic liquids.
Audio
A built-in microphone array handles everyday capture, and the camera supports an external DJI Mic connection for interviews, vlogging, and anything where voice matters more than ambience. The Adventure Vlog Combo ships with a DJI Mic 2 transmitter included.
