The Osmo Nano is a palm-sized camera built to be worn rather than held. Dual-sided magnetic surfaces let it attach to a cap peak, a chest strap, or a jacket in seconds, opening hands-free angles that a mounted action camera cannot reach.
Behind the size sits a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with 2.4μm pixels delivering up to 13.5 stops of dynamic range, the same sensor class as the full-size Osmo Action range.
| Combo | Built-In Storage | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Combo (64GB) | 64GB | £339.99 |
| Standard Combo (128GB) | 128GB | £365.99 |
Both combos are otherwise identical, including the camera, Multifunctional Vision Dock, magnetic mounts, protective case, and PD cable. The only difference is storage, and £26 for double the capacity is worth it if you shoot 4K regularly.

Dual-sided magnetic surfaces are what separate the Nano from a conventional action camera. Attaching takes about a second, with no cage, screw, or adapter, so the camera moves between a hat, a strap, and a surface without breaking stride.
That opens angles a mounted camera struggles with: eye-level POV while cycling, a chest view during a climb, or a quick surface mount for a static shot.
RockSteady 3.0 raises shutter speed and analyses sensor data frame by frame, compensating at the edges to produce smooth footage without losing the sense of motion. HorizonBalancing corrects tilt automatically, keeping the horizon level through movement.
For a camera worn on the body rather than gripped, that stabilisation is doing more work than on a handheld unit, and it is what makes the footage usable rather than shaky.
The camera records for around 90 minutes on its own, extending to roughly 200 minutes when paired with the Multifunctional Vision Dock included in both combos.
Fast charging brings the camera to 80% in about 20 minutes, so a coffee stop is enough to get back out. The Vision Dock also adds a screen for framing and playback, and takes a microSD card for exporting footage off the camera.
The camera itself is waterproof to 10 metres with no case, covering swimming, watersports, and heavy rain. The Vision Dock carries an IPX4 splash resistance rating, so it handles rain, sweat, and splashes but should not be submerged.
The Nano connects directly to dual DJI Mic systems, capturing two people without a receiver, which suits interviews and two-handed vlogging.
An automatic recording function can trigger the camera from standby based on preset actions or interval timings, useful for capturing moments that would otherwise be missed while reaching for a button.

Choose the Nano for wearable, hands-free shooting where size and magnetic mounting matter most. Cycling POV, running, travel, and everyday capture where carrying a full action camera is more than you want.
Choose the Action 5 Pro for longer battery life, deeper waterproofing, subject tracking, and the wider mounting ecosystem built around action sports.

The Osmo Pocket 3 is the better choice if you want a gimbal and a larger sensor for vlogging to camera, and the Osmo 360 if spherical capture with reframing in post appeals.
Dual-sided magnetic surfaces let the camera attach to compatible mounts in about a second, with no screws or cages. It moves between a cap, chest strap, or flat surface without tools.
Around 90 minutes on the camera alone, or roughly 200 minutes paired with the Multifunctional Vision Dock included in both combos. Fast charging reaches 80% in about 20 minutes.
The camera is waterproof to 10 metres with no case. The Vision Dock is IPX4 splash-resistant, so it handles rain and sweat but should not be submerged.
Only the built-in storage. Both include the same camera, Vision Dock, magnetic mounts, protective case, and cable. The 128GB version is £26 more.
Not to record, since storage is built in. A microSD card fits the Vision Dock and is used for exporting footage off the camera.
No. The Nano uses a fixed pan-focus prime lens with clear imaging from 0.35 metres to infinity, which keeps operation simple but rules out macro work.
Yes. The Nano connects directly to dual DJI Mic systems, capturing two people without carrying a receiver.
The Nano suits wearable, hands-free shooting where size matters. The Action 5 Pro offers four-hour battery life, 20 metre waterproofing, subject tracking, and a broader mounting range for action sports.
